Bachelor of Education
It is important to know that B.Ed is not an under graduation degree course. One can pursue a Bachelor of Education or B.Ed only after completing graduation. It is a professional degree course and a mandatory requirement for doing a teaching job in a school. CVRU education department provides two years regular B.Ed degree course to make students capable of becoming a teacher right from pre-nursery to senior secondary in schools.

Graduation in any Stream with 50%marks for Gen. and 45% for SC/ST

2 Years divided in 4 semesters with 2 semesters in each year

The B.Ed or Bachelor of Education course is divided into 2 semesters each year amounting up to 4 semesters during the duration of the course. The course is designed to impart both practical and theoretical knowledge of all the subjects related to several aspects of teaching and learning practices. This curriculum enables B.Ed students to handle the classrooms with children belonging to diverse socio-economic, multilinguistic and intellectual abilities. It is very important for B.Ed students to understand the learning graph of each child and to provide a conducive environment for children to learn, experiment, think, reason and question. Career Prospects:
Candidates with a B.Ed degree become eligible to get a job of a teacher in all government and private schools in India. One can become a primary, secondary and senior secondary teacher in schools.
The B.Ed degree holders can also be hired as Assistant Professor or Professor at the college/university level after clearing Teaching Eligibility Tests like CTET, APTET, TSTET or UGC NET.
