ABOUT LAW

The Institute of Law Dr.C.V. Raman University, Kargi Road Kota, and Bilaspur (C.G.) was established in 2011 with the objective to provide qualitative legal education. The Institute offers LL.B., B.A.LL.B., and B.Com.LL.B. LL.M. and Ph.D. degree in Law. Institute has excellent facilities of Research in Law and presently more than a dozen scholars have been enrolled in Ph.D. Degree.

Institute is having well equipped furnished spacious building with large number of classrooms, lecture halls, Moot Court, Legal Aid Clinic, smart classroom and a well equipped library. The Institute is imparting Legal Education using modern techniques. It cultivates and infiltrates legal aptitude of the students aiming to make them excellent advocates and resources, who would act as champions for law and justice. The Institute is conducting legal literacy camps, moot court competitions and other activities helpful to inculcate legal aptitude in the students.

The faculty members of Institute work more as guide and counsellors creating an environment of personal relationship and contribute to the growth and personality of the students. The Institute has fully equipped library other than Central Library of the University. The library of the Institute has sufficient books, journals, periodicals and other literature. In the Institute well equipped Computer Lab with Legal software, are present.

The students of the Institute exhibit praiseworthy performance in various all India moot court competitions. The Institute undertakes the placement of students through campus interviews. The Institute encourages its students to organize and participate in co-curricular activities moot court and moot performance on burning socio-legal problems, human rights etc.

Bachelor of Arts & Bachelor of Legislative Laws (B.A.LL.B.)
Program Objective
1.By studying law in the particular context of humanities and social sciences the students are groomed to respond to governance, administration and human behaviour.
2.Student’s gain an edge over other peers to lead and shape social and public enterprises such as the State, Not for Profit organisation, Community organization and Social Enterprises.
3.Course curriculum facilitates learning Law in a profound way in response to contemporary development with hands on experience in legal knowledge and skills in value frame work in a fast-changing India set in a de-globalizing world.
4.The student will be groomed in intellectual integrity, ethics.
5.The student will develop and inculcate cognitive, problem-solving skills, independent critical thinking with research capabilities.
6.Students will be able to cultivate the ability to appreciate role of lawyers in justice education in Globalising world, sustainability, poverty and vulnerability.

They cal also join the subordinate judicial service and Public Prosecutors through public service examination. They are also able to pursue further post graduate study in law such as LL.M

The Highlight of this programme is its emphasis on an Interdiciplinary approach in the study of law and research orientation by underlining the relevance of research methodology with utmost technical precision and scientific sophistication. The student has option of a cafeteria apporoch in terma of specialization, cross specialization course combining innovation, cutting edge legal acumen and theoretical insights.

Library

Library is the core centre for intellectual upgrading of the students and staff of the institution. The institute has been keenly interested and devoted to develop its library. The Library of the Institute is situated on the ground floor of the building for easy access. It is spacious with total 3051 sq ft of area. It is well lit and nicely ventilated providing a comfortable atmosphere.
The Library is well stacked and systematically organized. It is the heart of our institution and plays a crucial role in all academic and co -curricular activities. It is dedicated to provide expert services to the student community with legal research guidance and to look forward to assist students and researchers for their legal research.
