OVERVIEW
The Department of Rural Technology was established in the year of 2018 with the aim to carry out teaching and research activities for the overall development of rural areas. The indigenous knowledge of the rural people has been utilized by the department for the creation of need-based technology for sustainable rural development. department of rural technology also coursed offered M. Sc., PGDRD and PhD research. Recently the department has successfully run a sponsored project NIF-DST by Govt. of India and achieved the perennial award for Unnat Bharat Abhiyaan by Govt. of India. Recently Department of Rural Technology is established as the Centre of Excellence for Rural Technology and Entrepreneurship where various livelihood and extension activities performing.

FACILITIES
FOOD PROCESSING LAB

Lab equipped with the instruments like a Seed germinator, Spectrophotometer, Conductivity meter, centrifuge, growth chamber, incubation chamber, Laminar flow, Tree measuring sets, Grinder, Distillation unit, Autoclave, Oil extractor, Non-conventional energy equipment and civil engineering work equipment etc.

MEDICINAL GARDEN

There established a well-organized medicinal garden with medicinally important trees, shrubs, herbs and climbers for experimental purposes where students experiment with them.

HORTICULTURE FIELD

A Well stablished Horticulture field to studied gardening, and the plants and biological systems which make up a garden. Horticulture is a broad science which has many sub-disciplines.

LIBRARY

TThere is a good quality research journals like the Indian Journal of Traditional Knowledge, Journal of Medicinal Plants, Journal of Rural Development, Journal of Rural Studies, Indian J. Agroforestry and qualitative textbooks and reference books of reputed publishers such as CAB, Elsevier, etc.
