Dr. C.V. Raman University, Bilaspur, recently hosted the East Zone Men’s Kabaddi Tournament organized by the All India University (AIU) association from 6th to 9th October. The event featured 56 universities from nine states with 896 players, coaches, and managers participating.Teams from MG Kashi Vidyapith, Azamgarh University, VBS Purvanchal University, and Dr. C.V. Raman University qualified for the All India level tournament. At the closing ceremony, Deputy Chief Minister Arun Saw praised the players, saying, “On the field, a player either wins or learns. There is no place for defeat.” The event highlighted skill, strategy, and teamwork while promoting the university’s commitment to sports alongside academics.
