Dr. C.V. Raman University, Bilaspur, organized a national lecture on International Human Rights Day, 10th December, under the joint aegis of the Department of Law, Internal Complaints Committee, One India Best India Club, and IQAC. The program commenced with a welcome address by Student Welfare Dean, Dr. Abhishek Pathak.
Registrar Dr. Arvind Tiwari, in his address, emphasized the harmony between rights and duties as the cornerstone of a cultured, just, and democratic society. He noted that while rights provide individuals with freedom, respect, and opportunities, duties instill responsibility towards society. He highlighted that rights are meaningful only when accompanied by the continuous observance of duties, fostering discipline, equality, cooperation, and mutual trust essential for national development.
