Dr. C.V. Raman University, Bilaspur, hosted a one-day national lecture on “The Role of Youth in Promoting Swadeshi and Self-Reliance.” The event featured Dr. Varnika Sharma, Chairperson of the Child Rights Protection Commission and National General Secretary of the National Security Awareness Forum, along with Golok Bihari Rai, Member of the Central Operations Committee, and Vikramaditya Singh, National General Secretary of the Forum. The speakers shared their insights on inspiring youth to embrace indigenous practices and work toward self-reliance.
Dr. Varnika Sharma emphasized the importance of integrating spirituality with technology for national progress. She encouraged students to cultivate “Swadeshi in tools, methods, and mindset” to strengthen agriculture, rural prosperity, and economic development. Highlighting the legacy of Ahilyabai and Veer Shivaji, she urged students to adopt self-reliance as a guiding principle in all endeavors.
