M. Sc. Zoology Programme is offered by the department of Life Science as an effective program targeting the students who wish to pursue research and animal ethics or higher studies in the field of Zoology. The current research and teaching in the department include diverse aspects of Zoology with a balance of organismic and reductionist. It offers in-depth knowledge of teaching and research programs in diverse areas of Zoology viz Animal Physiology, Immunology, Fish Biology, Entomology, Receptor Biology, Cell Biology, Developmental Biology Endocrinology, Radiation Biology, Toxicology, Genomics and Cancer Biology. The programs of M.Sc. in Zoology is a full-time Postgraduate degree program of a period of 2 years distributed in 4 semesters containing 20 credits I and IV semester and containing 22 credits II and III semester respectively, 84 total credits in 4 semesters as per the norms and guidelines prescribed by UGC.

PEO1 : The objective of the Master’s programme in Zoology is to equip the students to apply the knowledge of Taxonomy and receptor mechanisms of lower to higher Invertebrates and Vertebrates.
PEO2 : The laboratory training and behavioral analysis of animal in Zoological Garden, Santury Biosphere reserve and natural environment included to prepare the students for their careers in the wildlife area.
PEO3 : The student have a knowledge of different culture Skill viz Pearl Culture, Lac –Culture, Sericulture and Poultry keeping. Protozoa, rats, mites, insect diseases and control to develop own Business, marketing and self employment.
PEO4 : The goal is to impart student the knowledge and skills which are contemporary and useful to them as well as for society. The student will write the standard operating protocols (SOPs) and identify requirement for experimental animal, ethics and welfare.
